Valletta Cruise port expecting an increase in passengers in 2014

The decline in passenger numbers is in line with the Company’s expectations and previous announcements and reflects shifts in the cruise industry and particularly the Mediterranean.

At the same time and subject to ongoing bookings, Valletta Cruise port is expecting an increase in passengers in 2014 and confirms what was stated earlier this morning by the Hon Minister for Tourism Karmenu Vella, that Costa will be retaining their current volumes. Furthermore as announced earlier this month, TUI Cruises will be calling Malta with a larger ship and MSC will be resuming their weekly calls.

Valletta Cruise Port wishes to record its appreciation to the Minister for Tourism, the Malta Tourism Authority, Transport Malta, the local agents and other stakeholders who are constructively in partnership with Valletta Cruise Port to develop the cruise sector in Malta.
